As the recent events have unfolded in the last few weeks, one truth has remained above the rest. We cannot prepare ourselves for our struggles. For as much as we want to say that we can handle anything thrown in our faces--this is hardly ever the case. The Devil is tricky, clever and cunning and even when we are most prepared to fight him he finds his way in the backdoor. As much as we emotionally, physically and mentally prepare for what is ahead of us, that is never the same as actually experiencing it. Emotions are powerful and sometimes they have somewhat of a crippling effect on us weak human beings. If you find yourself in the most seemingly unlikely challenging situation, fight it hard.

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
